Not A Good Sign

Looking out a the lake this AM, while having coffee and watching the news, I discovered a thin skim of ice. This is not a good sign since winter weather truly can't be far behind. I know it wasn't realistic to hope it would stay mild but one can always hope. At this point I settle for more mild day so I can say I played in December. I imagine TTS was looking for an extra sweater and LBB was putting snow tires on his cart.

Yesterday the final interviews for Evans Scholars were held in Columbus and BCC had a candidate - Zack - that was invited to be a finalist. While not a sure thing the odds were in his favor. The Evans people normally don't invite candidates to this interview if they aren't really good. Let's keep our fingers crossed for him. I understand he was one of the very few candidates from the Toledo area this year (none from Inverness in 2009). BCC has had a lot of Evans Scholars over the years. This in spite of the fact we have a limited caddie program. In case you didn't realize it the award represents about $60,000 per person for 4 years of school.

Hope to see a lot of you at the big party tonight. If not then at lunch next Friday.
