Well it has been a week since my last posting. Seems like a lot has happened. The earthquake in Hatti; the passing of Deanna
Radeloff; the potential change in the Senate; and a lot of other minimal stuff. I'm sure thoughts and prayers go to Roger and his family on the passing of Deanna. She was such a positive and talented person to leave us so soon.
Back to more trivial matters. The answers to the last rules questions are: False on the repair of a ball mark question, and true to lifting a ball in a water hazard to determine fitness for play. The answer to the
OSU trivia question is the players became sick after drinking water on the train from Columbus to Madison.
Next questions:
Gilhooley's ball is in a bunker against a rake (we know he aimed there because
sandies were being played). He moves the rake and the ball moves. What is the ruling?
- There is a penalty of one stroke; the ball plays as it lies.
- There is a penalty of one stroke; the ball must be replaced.
- There is no penalty; the ball is played as it lies.
- There is no penalty; the ball must be replaced.
Golf Trivia: During the mid-1500s in Scotland, the first golf balls were made of what material?
OSU Trivia: Who, in 1994, became the first member of the OSU women's golf program to be inducted into the OSU Hall of Fame? Hint, I played with her in the 1994 Jamie Farr Celebrity Pro Am.
No lunch this Friday because of the memorial service for Deanna Radeloff. Next Monday, 1/25/2010 at Moe's. Probably our last chance to see TTS before he leaves for Naples for the month of February.
One final thought. Last Saturday we went to Dayton for a third/fourth grade basketball game. the NBA players shouldn't feel concerned yet. But, there is a big difference from the prior year. The game is starting to resemble what we all know. It is also amazing how fast these kids grow.
