Having nothing better to do with their time (or money) 12 showed up on Tuesday to play. Since it's mid-season the daily captain decided on a fairly tough format - 3 best ball of 4. Unfortunately the weather wouldn't cooperate and the thunder and lightning rolled in after 9 holes. Having nothing better to do, and not wanting to show up at home too early a lively dice game ensued with some of the money. After much explanation of the changing rules and controversy over some of the rolls LBB finally walked away with $10. TTS was seen roaring off on his "harley" muttering something about smelling a pie burning in his oven, and Gilhooley finally found someone willing to risk life and limb and go back on the course. The rest of us spent a little money at the bar and went home at a reasonable time so we wouldn't be late for cocktails.
The weather for the rest of the week looks like it will be hot and dry. Hopefully good for golf. Thursday is a TDGA event and we are playing at 8 AM. Let's hope there won't be a big rush for the first tee. Sign up sheets are up for the Senior Club Championship (a one day event). This is a great warm-up for the JR/SR Championship later in August. Plus there are number of other events on the schedule and worthy of your consideration. We have a new golf chairman (John Bachey) who is seeking your input. Be constructive, but let him know what you think.
See ya later.
