WOW!!!

Thanks to LTG the Nurse and I went to the soft opening at the Hollywood Casino last night.  The pictures that have been published really don't do it justice.  I think the place is really cool.  We have a first clas ballpark and arena and the casino fits right in.  We ran into Twinkle Toes and he said this will be the new Holiday Inn.  Didn't have a chance to sample any of the food, but I heard a lot of positive comments in that regard.  The Sports Bar looks like a great place for us to meet in the winter for lunch.  All in all I think most will be pleased with this addition to the community.  And no I didn't lose at black jack and broke even on the slots.

We had a big crowd for golf yesterday.  Four foursomes that were pretty eveningly matched (on paper).  Scores weren't super spectacular but close enough to make it interesting for some.  OTR was our leader, but we dug such a big hole on the front side we weren't a factor.  In fact the GWH and I even managed to lose four small bets to JJ and OTR in our own group.  It was good to see the LR Dr. back from the furnace in Arizona.  Don't know how he played but I saw him looking for a sweater. 

This weekend kicks off the summer season.  It seems rather anti-climatic since we've been playing for almost two months.  Hope everyone has big plans and a great time.  The weather guys are saying this will be the warmest Memorial Day holiday in 100 years.
