The bags are packed, it's less than 48 hours before we take-off for the island of Maui for a little R&R. This can't come too soon after all the problems we had last week.
To start with the desk top computer decided to give up the ghost and just died one day. So we had a new built for us based on the way we use it. I got tired of buying them off the shelf and never really getting what we need. The new works great, but Windows 7 is taking a little time to get used to. I've got to remember to right click with the mouse. This seems to be much easier to manage picture and music files. We'll see about the rest.
Second, the Benz decided it didn't like winter and flat out wouldn't start. Initially everyone thought the battery went. Wrong! After having it towed to Bavarian Autosport it was determined that the connector on the cable to the throttle control module was corroded and opened the circuit. Not a big deal to fix, but a real pain in the --- only having one car for a few days. Especially when you get a flat tire and ultimately have to buy a new one. Plus the Benz is going back to have seal replaced while we're gone.
Finally throw in a few phone challenges that took time to learn and do the right way. Now everything is working fine and I'm still a fan of the new smart phones. Then last but not least my golf GPS didn't want to turn on so I could download courses for Hawaii. Took another hour to get that working. No one supplies a user manual so you have to go to some web site to try to find the answer.
I guess I shouldn't complain since many people have much more serious issues to deal with.
Remember lunch on Friday (for those left in the area).
PS - Heard from TZ and he shot a career low round. I'm sure he'll give you all the details if you ask him.
