Winter's Still Here

We should now have the coldest part of the winter behind us. The days are getting longer and Spring can't be too far away. Ground Hog Day is right around the corner. But, our friends are still leaving for warmer climates. TTS made it to Florida and got himself hooked up on the inter net. LLB is getting ready to go see Gilhooley, and the Mrs. and I leave for Hawaii in less than three weeks. Some have made the mistake and returned home too early. Dave H just got back from Florida, and the Social Director came back from wine country. Based on how bundled up Dave H was at lunch Friday (like a homeless person) he knows he should have stayed South.

Went to dinner last Wednesday with the LBB's and we tried something different. Pizza at the Village Idiot in Maumee was like going back to college days. Good pizza, beer, and loud music (which we passed on). I'm sure we'll go again. Also finally made it to Savage Arena at UT. I hadn't been there since it was redone (very nicely). There's nothing like college basketball. In this case it was the women's team playing BGSU. Two very good teams, a great game and lots enthusiasm. I have never seen a crowd like that one at UT since the Bobby Nichols days. They announced the attendance was the second largest in MAC history - in excess of 5800.

Answers to last week's questions: Uncle Bob can get a club any spectator (C/#3) carrying one.

Here is the question for this posting:

Which of the following statements is false?
  1. Manufactured ice is an obstruction
  2. In stroke play, the number of holes in a stipulated round is 18 unless a larger number is authorized by the Committee.
  3. All ground within the margin of a water hazard is part of the hazard.
  4. Sand and loose soil are loose impediments on the putting green only.

You know the lunch drill. Good to see 5 of us find our way last Friday.
