Well that was probably the best Super Bowl I've seen in the last 20 years and maybe ever. I was rooting for Indy and Patton but think destiny was too muck to overcome. On the plus side the Mrs. and I won 2/3 of the pool at the party we were attending. So, the game wasn't a total loss.
Let's hope this is the only big storm of the season. To date we have dodged several bullets, but not this time. I've already done the drive once and am sure I'll have to do it again. The first time was out of necessity since I was stuck at the end when I turned too quickly from the street. Seems like I do that once a year: you would think I would learn.
The answer to the last rules question was #4 - The great White Hunter must replace the ball and incur a one stroke penalty. (no new question this post).
A little history on the JR/SR's - I'm often asked how the group got started and where did the name come from. Well here's the answer. Back during the summer of 1995 Don M, The Social Director, The Used Car Salesman and I would meet a couple times a week for lunch and play golf. The Commish kept trying to get us to join his group, but we resisted because we didn't want to play the white tees. Someone said we were the JR/SR's and the name stuck. As more people retired or took the afternoon off the group grew to where we are now. Initially we only played $1 skins and I don't think I'm back to even yet. To this day I think it was the blue tees that made the difference. Because we've had members that should have been playing a shorter course but for whatever reason wanted to stay on the blues.
Wish I'd Said IT - Golf, like measles, should be caught young, for, if postponed to riper years, the result may be serious. - P. G. Wodhouse
Enough for today. Make lunch if you're dug out! Bar Louies at noon.
