Well Summer is officially here, although Friday evening didn't feel that way. We played in the couples twilight and it was cool and damp. A fun format using many of the par three tees. Best part was we tied for first place. Now we can buy some new socks from Brad. It was nice to have fried chicken served family style (good comfort food).
Saturday dawned bright and clear, a perfect day for golf. The GWH was back from safari and picked up where he left off. Basically putting money in our pockets. It was a hard fought match and came down to the final holes before we prevailed. The SD's putter was red hot from outside 15 feet. You could hear the "hi ho silver's" echo around the course. Fortunately Dr. AH was able to match him at the right times.
I'm not a big soccer fan, but how do you let the other team score in the last 10 seconds? Very seldom do you see any team win when they go to the "prevent defense". The US team still has life, but what a let down. As exciting as the match (game) was it was still like watching grass grow.
The 4th of July is right around the corner. Seems like just yesterday we were shoveling snow. Oops, this year we were.
See ya at the training table.

PS - How about Kevin S birdieing out yesterday to win on the PGA. His 7 straight birdies may not be a record, but I was impressed.
