The round table wasn't large enough to hold the crowd who assembled for lunch yesterday. So we kept adding tables. When we were finally done I was reminded of the painting of "The Last Supper". There were 15 of us stretched out along the grill room. That's one of the largest crowds we 've had all year. It was a pretty festival mood, especially after LTG passed around the chocolate carmel pretzels (he was really concerned that he didn't forget the container). We also had some great sausage that the GWH brought back from his recent trip out west. He swears it was made from the mule deer he shot, but it tasted like Hickory Farms to me. The group kept the wait staff on their toes, but they did a great job. Funny thing, we forgot to "roll the bones". I guess no one was feeling lucky.
That was probably the last lunch before Spring (at the club). Watch your email for instructions from the SD. We'll probably start going to the Casino next week.
Merry Christmas,
CC
PS - Don't forget Happy Hour tonight.
