With a great weather day like yesterday you'd think people would have been clamoring to play. But no, they stayed away in droves. Now I understand if it was the big game like next weekend, but yesterday was Iowa and a late kickoff to boot (no pun intended). Well four hearty souls showed up and teed it up. We teed it up and had a little skins game. Little if you call 17 skins little. The big winner was LTG, but just barely. The only thing that saved my bacon was scoring the first tri#!*&x of the season. How sweet it was considering it was on #13 and I had been in a coma all day.
I don't know whether you caught it but Frank Gilhooley died Friday. He was one of the great local TV personalities in Toledo and really well known throughout the region and country.
Since we are quickly approaching the "dead season" I'm working on material relating to rules, trivia, tips and etc. So stay tuned. The JR/SR Golf News is your trusted source for news. Where else can you get news about the real life characters we all know and admire?
Looks like we might get a couple of good days this coming week. Hope to see ya at the training table.
PS - Next time you see TTS ask him about his idea about our own memorial park. I think his idea has merit. The only problem I see is that no one wants to be first.
