Whew!

Well we survived another holiday with the Rabbit Wrangler and Miss Emma. This wasn't as hectic as normal, but I still took a nap after they left. Most of the time was spent playing pool by the Rabbit Wrangler, who took on all comers. It's good to know I can still beat a nine year old at least two out of three. Miss Emma has quite an imagination and I'm not sure whether she is going to be designer or a retailer or both. At one point she turned the family room into a jewelry store. Watch out to the McGivern's.

How about those Buckeyes? After a little initial excitement they made it look pretty easy. I am not sure about those uniforms. I can live with the pants and jerseys but lets not screw around with an American icon - the helmets. Those made the Buckeyes look like Rutgers. It'll be interesting to see what bowl game they go to. If it is the Sugar Bowl it could really be a good game. One last thought about football - the Browns almost figured out another way to lose, but dodged a bullet.

Christmas must be coming. If not then I don't know why I got all those boxes of decorations out.
I almost forgot one of the things that contributed to my need for a nap was Black Friday. My son said he wanted to get a $3.00 toaster. So he, Jules ( who always ready to go shopping) and I left the house at 5 AM. Went to Target and found the empty shelf for the toasters. Moved on to Walmart - got nothing. Then to Bass Pro where we had a lot of success (they also gave out doughnuts and coffee). Our last stop was Best Buy where we found several small items. We all agreed next year it was would be Cyber Monday and sleep on Black Friday. Funny thing was Best Buy still had door buster laptops at 7 AM, and lots of TVs and other electronics.

Don't know whether there's any golf left this year. Today looks great, but Tuesday is calling for rain. Plus it must be cold since there has been a skim of ice on the lake in the morning. Stay tuned, we may have to play it by ear.
