While I was not happy with the results of the Super Bowl I did benefit from poetic justice in the end. I admit I'm a Patton Manning fan and wanted to see him be victorious. Give Seattle credit they had the better team on Sunday and deserved the win. I may have lost the battle but in a sense won the war. We were watching the game with friends and had our own Super Bowl pool. The safety on the first play really screwed up many squares on our board (and I'm sure in Vegas too). My squares weren't looking too good until the end of the third quarter. With 20 seconds left I was going to win if Denver didn't score. If you remember, Denver scored with time running out. The crowd wouldn't accept my contention that the quarter was over when the touchdown signaled by the back judged and proceeded to award the money to LTG. By some miracle Seattle decided not to rub salt in the wound at the end of the game. Much to my amazement I had the winning box, and took home the big prize. It wasn't huge in monetary terms but the principle was. Off course I was soundly booed by the crowd.
Golf laws:
- It's not a gimme if you're still four feet away.
- The shortest distance between any two points on a golf course is a straight line that passes through the center of a very large tree.
- Nonchalant putts count the same as chalant putts.
- Counting on your opponent to inform you when he breaks the rules is like expecting him to make fun of his own haircut.
Remember lunch this week. You should be dug out by that time. I heard a weather guru say we should expect this cold, snowy weather for 3-4 more weeks. Then it should break for good and things should warm up for good. He was based on the history of this pattern happening about every 20 years. Right.

PS - T Squared I think I would go to Walmart and then make the decision. That's called one stop shopping.
