Robins and Geese

I've been seeing robins all winter.  I guess no one told them they should go south, especially this year.  However yesterday afternoon I looked in the backyard and to my amazement there were five geese feeding around my bird feeders and deck.  Since there isn't any open water I couldn't figure why they were in my yard.  I soon learned they don't like snowballs and were really unhappy trying to take off in the heavy snow.  They only left for about an hour and then came back.  More snowballs and more unhappy geese.  I guess they didn't get the memo about going south either.

I haven't watched much of the Olympics, but what I have seen have been pretty exciting.  The short track speed skating has been a hoot;  the bobsleigh always exciting;  and the hockey surprising.  Can't believe the Fins beat the Russians like they did.  And, almost forgot curling.  I'm not sure why I am drawn to it but it is fun to watch.

Golf laws:
  1. Golf should be given up at least twice per month.
  2. The last three holes of a round will automatically adjust your score to what it really should be.
  3. Golf balls from the same "sleeve" tend to follow one another, particularly out of bounds or into the water.  This law is a Bishop to the JR/SRS.
  4. All three woods are demon-possessed.  Your Mother In Law doesn't even come close.
Hope to see you Friday if not before.
