Small Group/Big Crowd

There was a small group for lunch on Friday.  My guess is that many were busy and couldn't make it or didn't read their email alert from the SD and didn't realize we changed the date due to a conflict on Thursday.  The casino staff was disappointed since they had moved the tables to accommodate a larger group.  I'm sure they'll get over it.  Anyway TTS, LTG and I were there and had a nice conversation about all who were absent.  Were your ears burning?

There was a big crowd for Happy Hour Friday evening.  Many of the same faces were present along with others who were back at the club since it shut down for the season.  We had a great time and based on the activity of Bobby behind the bar the treasury should be a little fuller.  Two more weeks and the club starts to get back to full swing.  I saw we got our first golf update of the season.  Sorry to see Jasen isn't returning, but am happy to see he got a great opportunity at another BCC.  Now if the golf course would only thaw out early we'd all be happy.

Golf laws:

1. Golf balls never bounce off trees back into play.  If one does, the tree is breaking a law of the universe and should be cut down.
2. The higher a golfer's handicap, the more qualified he deems himself as an instructor.
3. A golfer hitting your group will always be bigger than anyone in your group.  Likewise, a group you accidentally hit into will consist of a football player, a professional wrestler, a convicted murderer and an IRS agent -- or some similar combination.
