This week is the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando. I used to go, but haven't been since Bill Perry left the club. Plus it changed dramatically with the down turn in the economy. It looks like it is starting to come back to the level I remember. Plus the Golf Channel is now giving it great coverage on the Morning Drive program. Watching on TV, while not the same, certainly saves wear and tear on the "dogs". Remember you are talking about a million square feet of trade show displays. I'm sure there is lots of new stuff out there that our pros will seeing and reporting back on. But if you can't be there in person TV is probably the next best way to keep up with the industry.
We had a fun weekend. Entertained both Saturday and Sunday night. The Nurse wanted to get all our obligations out of the way before tax season gets cranked up and all our friends take off for warmer weather. Saturday I made a batch of my Jambalaya. I tried to keep the seasoning mix too a reasonable level so it wasn't quite so hot. It seemed to work for everyone but T Squared. His Fitbit was found in a strange place after it jumped off his belt. You'll have to get the full details from him. Sunday was our euchre group. Mr/Mrs. GWH took the honors and walked away with the 1st place money. That was a first.
Yesterday I went to Dayton to spend the day with my son and the Rabbit Wrangler at a big MLK basket ball showcase. ver a three day period there are 24 high school basketball teams playing. Most of the teams are from Ohio but the rest are from around the country. It draws all the big name college coaches and is a great opportunity for them too see some of the best talent in the country. We didn't get to see the feature game yesterday, but saw a couple of very good games. Over 75 college programs had signed in as attendees.I'm planning on going back next year it was a great opportunity for a guys day out.
See ya all Thursday,
