Opportunity

Life only presents so many opportunities and you have to be ready to take advantage of them.  You have to admit Jordan Spieth did just that at The Masters.  That was an amazing exhibition of golf over the four days.  I heard one announcer say Justin and Phil would have won 72 out of the last 78 Masters with the score they posted.  I'm we'll see more of  young Jordon in the days to come.  Now on to Harbour Town, another one of my favorite events on tour.

Speaking of opportunity one presented itself over the weekend that I just can't pass up.  It isn't very often that rookie a JRSR does something that earns him a name that he will be know by before he really tees it up.  But we had such an event over the weekend.  Eric W. (who plans to play with us this year) was at the same Masters party I was present at.  A spouse of another attendee (who will remain nameless) said will you look at this and showed me Eric's putter.  Now you might ask why he brought his putter to a party.  I don't really know why, but it had just come back from Titleist (Scotty Cameron to be exact) where it had been restored to it's original finish.  Plus it had a new soft white grip.  But the best part was the toe of the head had been stamped with " Big PP"  Read into that what you will,  but I lost it when I was asked if I wanted to feel his Big PP.  I politely declined, but muttered it was better to have a Big PP than a Small PP.  Where upon his wife agreed.  Well that brought the house down,  and it was decided on the spot that his JRSR name was to be Big PP.  Now for all you uninformed Big PP stands for big pro platinum.

The weather decidedly has turned to Spring.  With the wind today we should get some significant drying of the course.  See ya at the training table.

PS -  If you didn't play in the club's Masters event you missed a fun  event.  I'm not sure of the final results but I do know the pro pairings will make a difference.  Can't wait to see the final standings.
