Really

Has it really been a week since my last post?  It seems like it was just yesterday.  Anyway,  time flies when you're busy.

The weather has decidedly turned Fall.  Every morning this week has been brisk when I go out to feed our resident Mallards, but this AM was down right chilling.  Golf has been tolerable even though it has been windy.  Participation is starting to show who likes the cooler temps.  Gilhooley bailed the other day;  said it was too cold for him.  This coming from the guy who grew up in the Northeast and was a skier.  Anyway the hardiest have been teeing it up and winning most of the time.  OTR commented he lost for the first time in four rounds yesterday.  Yesterday scores were closely bunched, but not super spectacular.  The winners really hammed and egged it while shooting to there handicaps.

The greens have healed well and our up to speed.  I think that surprised most of us.  I know TZ wasn't expecting it as he blew his first putt on #1 by the hole about 15 feet.  And yes he he left the come backer short. 

Watch for some interesting rule changes coming in 2016.  They should benefit all of us, and make a lot of sense (based on what I've heard).  The SOTD is growing again.  Maybe we'll have a breather from all these recent winners.

Get your mittens out you might need them the rest of the season.
