We finally got the season off yesterday with nine souls showing up for the daily competition. Since Gilhooley was there I got the administrative tasks out of the way and presented him with his SOTD winnings from Saturday. Since he wouldn't accept the Casino certificate as legit I finally had to give him cash. Teams were drawn up and play commenced after a quick lunch.
At the end of the round one thing became clear. GSP's (Gravy Sucking Pigs) are always GSP's. Bob D, LOA, and Twinkle Toes posted the highly questionable score of -21 in a 2BB of 3 format. They were immediately placed on probation and banned from playing together for the foreseeable future. Our newest full time member - Steve S - was heard muttering about what he was getting into after hearing the winning score. The rest of us just had that knowing look.
No SOTD winners, but several close calls. Weather permitting we all agreed to do this again.

PS - I checked the records and the season was only 4 days late in starting.
