The Masters

The Masters is here!!  To me this is the best week of the golf year.  We are just beginning our season and still filled with the hope it will be a banner year.  The tournament is always exciting and usually filled with great drama.  I've never been disappointed with the outcome and there is usually a surprise along the way.  As far as my hope for a banner year goes that normally starts to fade after a few weeks.  The reality of my skill level sets in with the realization I'm not getting any younger.  But maybe you can catch lightening in a bottle one more time.

The weather just seems to tease us.  Oh, I keep forgetting it is still just the beginning of April and the weather is in it's transitional stage.  The weekend's snow showers were a great reminder of that.  Maybe that was the last gasp of cold weather and we can expect warmer days to come.  I'm reminded that Gilhooley should be on his way back from the Southwest and the warm weather always follows his trek back home (check the weather map).  Let's hope we can play this week, especially after lunch on Thursday.  Of course that may have to compete with opening day for the Mudhens.

Enough for now.  I've got to work on the tax return.  The data is all here and now I have to enter it into the software.  Not hard to do, but one of those tasks that I resist until the end.
