Catching Up
Things have not worked as planned since returning from Hilton Head. Maybe this week will be different. First, the weather really didn't co-operate last week. Rain always puts a damper on golf. A few of us did play on Wednesday. Every one's handicap has the old Spring bounce and Jim E. and Fred S. really took advantage and took $20 each with the blind draw process. We'll not let that happen again. Friday was the next playable day but only three brave souls managed to make it out. The "Shake of the Day" continues to grow by small amounts with no real close calls. Don't really know what happened over the weekend since I was out of town for a wedding, grandson's b-day, and Mothers Day. With all that out of the way maybe we can get back to playing golf. It looked like Bill Pollert had a successful Wine & Cheese Party and better yet the club had about 50 for dinner on Friday. Met a lot of new members. Talked with Bill Seibold this AM and he says they are coming back this week. I guess he wore out his welcome in Florida and no one will play with him any more. Said he was looking for new pigeons (whatever that means). Better lock up your wallets. Hear that Tommy Two Sweaters is looking for a motor home so he can start going on the flea market circuit. Give him a call if you know of any hot deals. Says he's looking for a fixer upper. We all know how he likes working small gas engines.
