The snow that is. Yesterday was just plain miserable. I understand this is winter but it is getting a little old. I'm sure we went through a number of years with basically mild winters but this is really getting old. Now on to more important stuff.
I didn't realize Easter was going to be so late this until I questioned when Fat Tuesday was. Normally by this time in February we've had our fill about Mardi Gras. I've been to New Orleans a number of times but never for Mardi Gras. But what I do look forward to is the annual consumption of paczkis. My particular favorite is custard filled, but all are pretty good ( don't understand prune though). Yesterday at Giant Eagle I noticed they were for sale in the Bakery Dept.. So I thought let's get some for breakfast tomorrow (their great with hot chocolate on a crummy winter morning). As always raspberry was the most popular. After a long search I found a box of custard filled. Imagine my surprise this morning when I realized they were filled with lemon custard. Someone didn't mark the box correctly. But, I'll suffer through and be more careful the next time.
Well I guess I'd better go fire up the snow blower again.
