Yea Old Guys

How about a big cheer for Fred Couples! He is still right in there at the Northern Trust Open in California after leading the second round. Remember this is with a creaky back and rain and cold on Saturday. I think most of us can relate to the balky body. Let's hope the golf gods smile on him on Sunday.

Friday lunch was well attended. That's what good weather will do for you. We saw a lot of people walking around in shirt sleeves. I'm not sure it was that warm but people like to push the envelope after a long bout of cold snowy weather.

The Nurse and I decided to go South to G-town and watch the Rabbit Wrangler play basketball for one last time this season. I was surprised at the improvement in the level of play over four weeks ago. The kids seemed to be much more aggressive. Maybe they were more awake this week. The wrangler poured in six points and generally played pretty well. After the game he had time for lunch and then it was off to the batting cage to learn how to bunt. Even 4Th graders have spring training.

Ran into TZ last night when we were leaving dinner. He said he was in town for a quick check on the business, which is doing better. Another sign the economy is on the mend. Let's hope it keeps going. On the negative side TGWH indicated Kettering CC in Defiance has closed and Orchard Hills in Bryan is in trouble. This is the continuation of a trend the TDGA has been seeing for a number of years.

See ya next Friday.
