Yes the mallards are back. I haven't seen any in our yard for about three months. But, this morning there were three of them waddling up from the shoreline looking for food. That is a sure sign Spring can't be far away. Plus flowers have started to grow.
Another sign is golfers on the course. There were quite a few yesterday. The weather was pretty mild and they showed up in small groups to take advantage of the weather. I must admit I was one of them. Twinkle Toes called and said they were chipping from LTG's backyard at 11 AM. Having nothing better to do I walked over and chipped on from Dr. AH's yard. Besides the afore mentioned duo, JJ and Tom S joined us. The course is pretty dry, but the greens were really slow, with ice in a couple of cups. I donated my first ball of the season to the lake on #6 when I hit a big draw off the tee. Saw the ball in the water, but no retriever (it was a found ball to begin with). Can you believe we had to let someone play through on #7?
We weren't even sure he was member. The group went on to the backside at the turn. I went to #1 and played my way home for a well deserved nap. I'm not used to all that exercise.
After we get some needed rain on Monday it looks like the temps will be good for more golf. I hope to play a few more holes and work off some of the rust.
See ya at the casino on Thursday if not before on the tee.

PS - For Dr. J the TDGA rules seminar is on April 15 at HDCC this year (6:30 PM?).
