Yes, it's almost time for the JR/SR Championship. The field is starting to take shape as more players get those final qualification rounds in. Check the locker room bulletin board if you think may be a round or so shy. I'm posting an updated list weekly so you can see where you stand.
We had another SOTD winner. Not a big win. Only $22.00 this time, and the winner was yours truly. It's been a long time since my last win. There's still money to be won. Remember you can't win if you don't roll the bones.
Golf was some what limited this week because of the rain Wednesday night. It really came down, if only for a short period, enough so that they wouldn't allow carts on Thursday. (Wow, that is an award sentence,but I'm too lazy today to rewrite it.)
If you missed Trivia at Belmont you missed a great time. No prises awarded, but bragging rights are valuable. A good sized crowd was present for the evening mc'd by our own Twinkle Toes. He does a great job and always has something humorous to leave the audience with.
Just a reminder the annual appreciation lunch for the ground crew will be August 28 at the maintenance building at 11 AM. Come show these guys how much we think of their hard work in keeping the course in such great shape. We'll probably play golf afterwards. Remember Thursday is Stag Day and we always have a limited field in the morning.
