Better Than Expected

The course condition has been better than expected over the past couple of days.  However, you can't say the same for the weather.  Tuesday was cold and Wednesday was bordering on hot to warm.  Today promises to be more like what you would expect, but then we're going back to the freezer over the weekend.  Maybe this is what Spring has become in our area.

We had a few players over the past two days.  It was kind of a rotating group as people checked in and out for nine holes.  If it wasn't my back being bothered by the cold it was the comm. meeting that got in the way of playing.  Today should be better with a large crowd anticipated.  I've already had requests to be in the first group.  Now that is really thinking ahead.

The TDGA had their Old Pal qualifier yesterday and no one scored really well.  I heard a lot of comments on how hard the greens putted.  But, they all said they were in great shape.  I know personally they seem to be fairly quick for this time of the year.  not summer speed, but not slow.  The po anna is starting to grow and that will have an impact later in the day as the seed heads grow.  A word to the wise - adjust accordingly.
