That's about sums it up for the playing conditions yesterday. Since it was "stag day" yesterday we played in the AM. I guess most guys are used to sleeping in because only 6 of us showed up for a little of play your own ball (paying 3 places). The scores were pretty close with only 1 shot (net) separating the top three players. For once I selected the right team (myself) since I sweaked out a win even though I had 4 doubles and a triple bogey. The rough is still really tough and the pin positions were not the simplest. In fact I asked if I could have the razor blade concession for the stag. I knew there was going to be a big demand from those unaccustomed to our greens.
Not sure whether I mentined we were without all Buckeye services on Thursday. I know the club had problems and thought ours was related. Wrong!! Dave B (our neighbor) had his cable cut during some yard work and when they buried his new cable they managed to cut ours. Now I'm fearful we will create a vicious cirle when they come to bury ours. Can you imagine how many pieces of useless cable we have buried in our two yards. This is no the first time this has happened.
