Since I had to leave early yesterday I turned the Captain's responsibility over to the table. There were no volunteers so they drew lots to see who'd be responsible for the day. Normally this wouldn't have been necessary since the Lr Dr. is certified to act in my absence, but he was AWOL. LTG drew the short straw and stepped up to the clip board. I was sitting close by so I could offer advice if needed. To his credit LTG took charge and didn't ask for help. I did hear him muttering about people throwing money on the table, people showing up late and how hard it was to equalize the teams. I played with OTR and Loverboy and we were horrible. There are no expectations of finding money in my locker. And, I guess everything worked out OK since I didn't see any nooses hanging from the tree by the score board.
I left early to attend the Green Comm. mtg. we had a lot to discuss so I won't go into details, but will be happy to answer questions. I'm sure the GWH is willing to do the same. One point I will emphasis is that we are at least 3 weeks behind in normal weather. Conditions are improving and we should see marked progress as the temperatures climb. Note to OTR - You were partially correct they only cut 1/2 of #1 green on Wednesday due to the sodded areas. But all the other greens were completely mowed. Mower heights will be lowered as the temperatures climb and green speed will increase.
