The SD has always said that he uses his winnings from golf to fund his anniversary. Some years are more festive than others. Think Taco Bell vs. Rockwell's. I'm not sure it was his idea but "once the tooth paste is out of the tube....". The Nurse got wind of this idea and you know what happened. Now every time I leave the house for the course on Saturday I get special instructions about winning (week days are still off limits). Now I don't want to say there is any pressure to win but when I don't the look on some one's face says it all. At least this Saturday there all smiles. After a hard fought match Dr. AH and I walked off 18 green with money our pockets. It came down to one putt that made the difference between winning and breaking even.
Can you believe the weather this weekend? Saturday was outstanding. Today looks to be a carbon copy. I just finished having lunch on the deck and couldn't believe how nice it was. The view across the lake was like looking at picture. The course is really starting come into shape. We lost two balls in the rough and knew right where they were. And the greens showed marked improvement from Thursday. They're not perfect, but with conditioned good weather they'll be pretty darn good.
Remember the club is open Tuesday. We should have a big crowd and lots of money to play for. So bring your A Game.
