I know what the calendar says but it sure hasn't felt like Spring. Both Saturday and Sunday felt more like October than May. I must admit it bright and sunny but when are we going to warm up? The course is starting to look pretty good and the greens are slowly coming around. Besides the cool air the wind has been brutal. I know we get this every year but it gets tiresome playing into a two club wind every round.
Since my normal group was scattered I teed it up with part of the FGG and a couple of pickups. Of course all that meant was that I contributed $5. If I didn't know better I would have thought it was a weekday rather than Saturday. One big difference was this was the 2nd round off the Blues. I may have to get new fairway woods if I keep playing them. Frankly it didn't make much difference to my score, it was still lousy. Three putts aren't helping the bottom line. Sunday the Nurse and I played with the T Squares. We all thought it a good idea to stop after nine and retire to the grill for beverages and popcorn. Too cold for any more fun.
I'm sorry to see Tim H leave, but it sounds like a great opportunity and I'm sure we all wish him well. Met the new shop girls, Sarah and McKinsey (sp?). Make sure you introduce yourself to them next time your in the shop.
