Thursday was the best day so far this year. There were several reasons for this. First we had our biggest field to date - 15; the weather was perfect; and third my team won. That doesn't happen very often, but when it does it renews your faith in the Golf Gods. Of course I caught a lot of grief since I set the teams up and we won by a wide margin. All I can say is the stars were in the right alignment. OTR played extremely well, and missed an ace on 8 by inches.
The work on #9 cart path has started and should be completed pretty quickly. When done it will be a big improvement to a problem that has been around for a long time. Consider contirbuting to the efforts of the FGG. I sure the Garden Club will do a great job with the landscaping. I'm reminded the course is 45 years old this year and is maturing very nicely. We are lucky to have a great course to play.
Don't forget the US Open Qualifier on Tuesday. You should try to come out and watch. There will be some pretty good golf and no seems to go really low. That is an indication of how good the course is.
