Last night I made my first trek around the lake on the hunt for errant shots. Much to my surprise I found 11 balls. Eight of those were Pro V1s. All in great shape and very playable. One ball of note was personalised with "Dr J". Wonder who that could be? Oh well if he's nice and has $2.00 he can get it back. That's a good deal since it was probably on hit 6 or 7 times.
Tuesday saw a good crowd show up for the daily competition. Conditions were a little challenging since the wind was strong and steady off the big lake (a little cool to boot). We thought we were out of it until we picked up 4 shots on 18 and tied for first. The SD made a 4 for 2 and Bob D.had a 3 for 2. Of course we lost the scorecard playoff and walked away with our entry fee. Dr AH's group was the big winner. Nice to see Bob B, TZ and Dick G return after along winter.
The Appraiser was present to collect his winnings for the SOTD. While surprised with receiving 95 one dollar bills he didn't turn them down (that's quite a wad of cash). He tried to exchange some of the bills for larger denominations, but no one buying into that. Anyway we know he can roll at least 95 more times with breaking a large bill. No winners on Tuesday so the pot grew to $136.00.
I didn't play yesterday so I can't report, but today looks great and a good crowd should probably show up.
