Now that we have turned into fair weather golfers we decided 9 holes was enough yesterday. While it wasn't raining hard at the turn we thought a spot of lunch would be good before returning for the backside. The rain became heavier and our decision became easy - quit. The bright side was Dr. AH and I were able to hold the GWH and the SD off and break even. That is in spite of the GWH continuing to play his above skill level for the second straight week. Thus a half kiss of your sister (aka a peck on the cheek).
The JR/SR Championship field continues to fluctuate, but promises to be big. Look for final details coming out from the SD in the next day or so.
Now to something a little more serious. One of our members pulled me aside and said a member from another club was complaining about one of our own cheating at the last Senior Inter Club. He related a story of one of our guys moving his ball repeatedly during the round. I don't who the reference was to, but I am sure we don't want a reputation like that with other clubs. Remember this is a game of honor. Besides we are only playing for "socks". Enough said.
Today will be the first time Nurse Crachcit and I have played couples golf on Sunday in a long, long time. This is a test to see if I hold up. I'm not sure which way she is betting.
See ya Tuesday.
