After Wednesday's rain the course was really wet. Very unusual for August but there was casual water everywhere. Slow greens made for an interesting round. In fact the GHIN computer didn't believe my score at first. The cast of characters was pretty much the same as were the winners. There wasn't even any entertainment value to my $5.00 entry fee. The only real positive was the sun stayed behind the clouds and the humidity was tolerable.
Watched a lot of the PGA at Whistling Straights and am glad I don't have to play with 1200 bunkers every day. I imagine the pros feel the same way. Should be an interesting three days to see who can survive. I wonder how many wedges will be worn out?
I think I'll go practice today. I need to work on everything so I won't embarrass myself too much on Saturday. But, my handicap is approaching parity with the opponents so maybe I'll have half a chance.
