Well I showed up Thursday AM just intending to play along chipping and putting. But the SD had other ideas and threw me into the fray. While I was able to play without physical discomfort my game showed the effects of not playing for the prior week and half. Once I realized there wasn't any pain I started drive the ball OK, but the rest of the game was pretty rusty. While my two partners were very gracious I'm sure they were thinking how did we get this chop as a third. You guessed it. I didn't really contribute a lot and we came in DFL. I'm not sure who won, but there was a lot of money and BS flying around the room. But I was glad to be back and hopefully will show some game by the time the JR/SR Championship rolls around.
I noticed the green speed was a bit off. Based on the high humidity I'm not surprised. Humidity can have a real impact on how fast they run. This weekend should have better conditions and maybe they will speed up for the Championship.
How about Tiger? Hard to believe he is playing that poorly. Maye Hank and Butch really know what they're talking about. Or maybe The Golf God is upset. It is also possible the pendulum took a really long time to swing back. Whatever the case Tiger sure doesn't look good. And, how about Phil shortening his driver to 44 inches? He doesn't seem to have lost any distance and gained better control. Any message there guys?
Gotta go. See you on the tee.
