Twinkle Toes waited all year to play his best round and walk away with most of the skin money. Over the last two day period he won at least five skins. I think his four yesterday was a one day record (at least as far as I know). The rest of us were just players in this black comedy. Come to think of it it is Halloween.
Anyway, it was a great day to play for the end of October.
Bob D told us he was playing by himself the other day and decided to go down into the hazard on #17. Ten minutes later he emerged with 49 golf balls. He said there was probably more there, but his pockets were so full his pants were falling down. I guess I've been looking for balls in the wrong place.
If you're still confused about the hazard rules there is a short quiz in the current issue of Golf Digest. It only takes few minutes to take and is a good refresher on the rules. In fact, it would be a good idea to tear the page out and keep it in your golf bag for future reference.
Remember October 31 is the last day for score posting in the TDGA. The only scores that will count until next April 1 will those played in an active season (ie Florida). So your basically stuck with your current handicap.
Keep your fingers crossed for more good weather. Historically we usually get to mid November before we really have to call it quits.
