Saturday Morning

Saturday morning turned into a coffee klatch due to the blustery cold winds.  That is until OTR challenged our manhood.  Throwing good sense in the trash OTR and three others (including myself) teed it up for a little skins game.  Several others (names to withheld to protect the sane) decided this was not a good idea and headed home for college football.

OTR's idea was that the first player to win a skin took all the money and we return to the warmth of the grill room, and Bloody Mary's.  He thought one hole would probably be enough and we could all retain our honor and not suffer from hypothermia.  Well the best laid plans don't always work.  After playing the loop we didn't have a winner.  We decided the new par 3 tee on #18 would be the playoff hole.  After a lot of drama ABE won all the money.  Check with OTR for the details since he had his heart broke on #17 when he had what appeared to be a sure winner.

I witnessed hillbilly logic first hand on Saturday.  We were going to start on #1 until some body suggested the loop was a better venue because we couldn't get too far from the clubhouse.  Well OTR had already hit one when this suggestion was readily agreed to by the rest of us (Slap Shot, ABE and myself).  We stood there in amazement as he teed up another ball.  We questioned what he was doing.  He said you don't think I'm going out there for just one ball do you!  How do you refute that.  Here's the real irony -  He couldn't find his first tee shot.

Indian Summer may be here this week.  See ya at the training table.
