Not Much New

Not much was really new yesterday.  We had seven show up under overcast skies.  The rain held off until early evening.  Anyway we played a little field skin game and Gilhooey walked away with most of the loot.  Surprisingly the course was playing firm and fast.  The greens are pretty well healed, but running a bit slower due to Eric's preparations for cold weather.  Speaking of the greens,  I posted a chart on the bulletin board that shows the change in soil composition due to Eric's efforts over the past ten years.  It's a little technical, but shows we have made a big change and can now be considered to have a sand base.  Thus, the greens are healthier, and putting like we all would like.

I'm still having problems with updating the SOTD info.  Currently we have $292.00 in the kitty that is looking for a new home.  Only one close call yesterday.   We have also played 553 rounds.  That is well behind 2012, but I'm sure weather related.

Currently the sun is shinning.  I think I'll play today to build up an appetite for the prime rib.
