Yes we took advantage of the weather yesterday. Ten JR/SRS showed up to show off their skills (well some did). And, four took advantage of the other six and took their money. It wasn't a runaway, but enough to win. Twinkle Toes, The Appraiser and I thought we couldn't lose after picking up 8 strokes on two holes. We forgot who we were playing against. Dickie G, and Uncle Bob are tough to beat (no matter who their teammates are), and then throw in Dr. AH and we had no chance.
Now about the skills part. Gilhooley was seen hustling Dr. J to the range immediately after the round for some remedial work on everything. L of A was heard making an appointment for an eye exam. He couldn't find his ball in the middle of the fairway on #1. We didn't have any trouble finding his brand new Pro V1, and put it our cart. And, no we didn't give it back to him.
The course continues to be in great shape. The greens are healing nicely, and should be back to normal within the week. The weather forecast looks great for the next few days. Make sure you show up because you never know when the weather will change. I'm on the road today, but plan on playing Thursday. If we get enough A players we can have a Silly Season game.
