The first first was TZ finally won the SOTD for $115.00. I wasn't present for the event and there was some question about the validity of the second roll, but TZ claimed it was legit and he even coerced the bartender into backing him up. After much discussion and a close vote of those assembled i agreed to pay him. He now has no reason to complain about the dice. Now the LR Dr. is the only one who hasn't won. I told him not to fret there was still plenty of cash left in the pot.
The second first (actually the second second) was when the Appraiser lined one from the green side bunker on six and caught OTR in the head. Of course OTR was dazed and didn't play as well for the rest of the round. As expected our group didn't get any sympathy from the group and wouldn't let us have consideration for his pain and suffering. Of course we lost by one shot. The reason this event wasn't a first was because I recalled that TTS nailed Fred S a number of years ago when Fred forgot and rode ahead of TTS (off the side and not in the line of play). I checked with OTR last evening and he seemed OK. I guess hillbillies really do have hard heads.
This is Club Championship Weekend. Good luck to all those participating. This should serve as a good warm-up for our Championship next Thursday. To date we have 20 signed up and it looks like a great field.
