It was a scene from Mutiny On The Belmont Wednesday at the 4th green. LTG, OTR, Twinkle Toes and I had teamed up to play in the TDGA Shamble Tournament. On paper we looked to be a good team, and through three holes we were. The crew picked the only ball on the green at #4, and them proceeded to putt everything off the green and made 4. They then designated me captain and blamed me for the decision. Needless to say with mutiny in the ranks the ship foundered and we didn't recover for many holes. By then it was too late. We finished strong but couldn't overcome our earlier choices.
Check with OTR and ask to see his new head wear. He now has protection against being Irwined. Who knows maybe he will be trend setter. In my mind it looks better than his Ricky Fowler look.
The BCC Senior Inter Club Team opened a can of whup ass on the other clubs Friday and won easily. I don't remember the margin, but it must have been at least 30 strikes. It was interesting to hear the comments from from the visiting players. Most everyone had trouble with the greens, but really had problems with the rough. I heard several people say they would quit golf before playing BCC everyday because it was too tough. I don't know about you, but I'm proud of our course and the work Eric and his staff have done to get the course where it is. However, we could use a little more consideration on where we set some pins.
See ya,
CC (or as my teammates called me Captain Bligh)
