Nose Tackles and Rabbits

Well the nose tackles were handled and the rabbits were wrangled on Thursday.  The WR's 7th grade football team won it's opening game.  It was a thriller, going down to the last seconds.  The WR plays center and did a pretty good job.  In fact he even handled the long snapping for punts without incident ( much to the relief of his Mother and Father).  After a quick change from pads to jeans it was off to the junior county fair and the rabbit wrangling.  He just made it and finished 4th out of 22 entrants.  His Father and I missed the whole thing because we got caught by a sulky race and were delayed in parking.  So after having the traditional fair dinner of corn dogs and funnel cake we called it an evening and headed back to the homestead.  Everyone was glad to get out of the heat and humidity and into the air conditioning.

The Nurse and I decided to stay overnight and glad we did.  There was huge accident on I 75 SB at mile marker 68 that happened about the time we would have gone through that area.  Three semis, three cars and a huge fire.  I 75 was shut down in both directions.  The south bound side was still closed Thursday morning.  The south bound backup must have been 10 miles when we went through about 8:15 AM.  What a mess.  I heard on the news there 2 fatalities.  The economy must be getting better.  Traffic was very heavy going down and coming back.

It was good to take a couple of days off from the links.  It certainly couldn't hurt my game.  I know I' supposed to play three days over the weekend so we'll see if the layoff helped.

See ya at Happy Hour,

CC
