Frick and Frack

Like the Phoenix who rose from the ashes Frick and Frack had a rebirth of sorts on Saturday.  They finally meshed their games to beat us for the first time in several moons.  While it wasn't a devastating loss it was interesting that each played well at certain times.  The super speedy greens played to their advantage for a change.  Speaking of the greens.  They were as fast as I can remember them ever.  Personally I don't think they were designed to have pins set in some of the locations with that kind of surface speed.  We already have some of the toughest putting greens in the TDGA and Saturday was confirmation of the ratings and then some.

Nice birthday party the club threw Saturday night.  Chef Kiel prepared some great food.  The weather was perfect.  Plus we had a nice crowd to enjoy the evening.  It's too bad we can't convince others what a great place Belmont is.

The weather looks like it is returning to summer norms this week.  Plus it's going to be pretty busy with the TDGA Shambles on Wednesday and the Senior Interclub on Friday.  And, the Mars vs. Venus is Sunday.  It looks like the women are trying to mount a serious challenge.  We need all able bodies to man the walls and repel their challenge.  Make sure you sign up.

See ya at the round table,

CC
